Volunteers are the life blood of foodbanks. Your skills could be just what we need.
Volunteers are the driving force behind foodbanks. There are thousands of volunteers across the UK, helping The Trussell Trust Foodbank Network get emergency food to people in crisis. We want you to enjoy volunteering and there are lots of ways to get involved. Whatever role you choose, you will make a real difference to the life of someone in crisis.

Volunteering Opportunities
Warehouse:
We are looking for one permanent volunteer on Monday mornings 9.45 – 11.45, one permanent volunteer on Thursday mornings 8.30 -10.30am and two permanent volunteers on Friday mornings 9.00 – 11.30am.
You will need to be reasonably fit to lift up to 18kg and able to read small text. It will involve sorting food and sometimes collecting it. You will need to be comfortable working within a team environment.

Distribution Centres:
We are looking for one permanent volunteer at our distribution centre at St Francis Church on Thursday evenings 5.45pm to 7.45pm.
This role is varied and will involve setting up and taking down and making up food parcels on site. You will need to be physically fit as you will be sometimes handling crates containing food.
